Over the past weekend, Pixar president, Jim Morris revealed where the ‘Finding Nemo’ sequel, ‘Finding Dory’ will take place and what the plot is.
‘Finding Dory’ is going to primarily take place in the Marine Biology Institute of California according to Morris. This institute is a large rehabilitation center for marine species like Dory who finds out that she was born there and eventually freed.
Dory then embarks on an adventure to find her parents after joining Nemo on a school trip watching the migration of manta rays. Even though this movie comes 13 years after the ‘Finding Nemo’ was first released, these events only take place several months after its predecessor. Morris also revealed that Dory is now living with Marlin and Nemo who will accompany her on this adventure. An octopus, a whale and sea lions will join the list of characters.
‘Finding Dory’ swims into theaters on June 17,2016 and stars Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Ty Burrell and Idris Elba. The film is directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane.
