After rumors that Michael Keaton was in talks to join the King Kong prequel ‘Skull Island’, the actor has officially joined the cast.
Starring alongside Tom Hiddleston and J.K. Simmons, ‘Skull Island’ is rumored to be about a group of pirates that last on the island in search of treasure. In their journeys on the island, they encounter dinosaurs, a civilization and of course, King Kong.
Kinda Ge, a reporter for The Wrap, confirmed the news on twitter. See the tweet after the jump. Also, another rumour surrounding the project is that ‘Game of Thrones’ director Neil Marshall is in talks to direct the movie.
This will be Keaton’s first role that he has signed on for since the release of his critically acclaimed film ‘Birdman’.
