An LAPD official told Deadline that “There is no bomb threat at Hollywood & Highland,” near the Dolby Theater where the Oscars are set to be held Sunday. The situation has been deemed a Code 4 which means that the package was not dangerous. The road will be reopened soon.
Original-Possible Bomb Threat Near Oscar Venue
On the eve of the Oscars, the Los Angeles Police Department in investigating a possible explosives treat near the intersection of Hollywood & Highland, close to the Kodak Theatre.
Hollywood & Highland is currently closed due to the investigation after police stopped someone for reckless driving, said an LAPD spokesperson. The driver said the police that they possibly had explosives in the truck. The LAPD has yet to verify this.
