Marvel’s Spider-Man Gets Director Drew Goddard

‘Sinister Six’ writer and director Drew Goddard has reportedly been hired by Sony and Marvel to write and direct the first Spider-Man movie under this new deal between the two studios. None of this has been confirmed by Marvel or Sony.

Reported by Latino Review, this news also comes along with the news that Sony is canceling all of its Spider-Man movies and spin-offs. The reboot has also reportedly been given the title ‘Spectacular Spider-Man’ and will follow a much younger hero than the one portrayed in previous films. Also the filmmakers are looking for an unknown actor who can grow with the character and be a part of the franchise for many films.

‘Spider-Man’ comes to theaters July 28th, 2017.
