Harrison Ford Injured In Plane Crash

Harrison Ford has been hospitalized after crash landing a small plane on a golf course in Venice, CA. The crash occurred on Thursday around 2:25 p.m. pacific standard time.

After experiencing a mechanical failure, the actor crashed the single-engine plane on Penmar Golf Course. Law enforcement officials originally said the actor’s condition was “critical”. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that UCLA Hospital in Westwood where he was transferred has him listed as being in “fair to moderate” condition. Ford suffered multiple lacerations in the crash and was the only person involved.

In photos obtained by TMZ, they show the plane that Ford crashed on the 8th hole of the golf course. Eyewitnesses say that he was able to walk away from the crash and was treated by two physicians who happened to be on the course at the time.

Howard Tabe, employee at the Penmar Golf Course gave NBC News a first hand account of the aftermath:

“There was blood all over his face. Two very fine doctors were treating him, taking good care of him. I helped put a blanket under his hip.”

Harrison Ford’s son Ben Ford took to Twitter to put fans at ease, saying that he was okay.
