Tim Burton Directing Live-Action ‘Dumbo’ Movie

Disney is loving the idea of live-action remakes of its classic animated movies. The studio has tapped ‘Alice in Wonderland’ director Tim Burton to helm a ‘Dumbo’ live-action remake.

The film will obviously be based of of the the Disney animated movie which was released in 1941. The script is being written by Ehren Kruger who’s credits include the ‘Transformers’ franchise. The film will mix CG and live-action to create the beloved character and the story is expected to draw parallels with the original.

This is just the latest movie in a long history between Burton and Disney. He has previously worked with the studio on projects such as ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’, ‘James and the Giant Peach’, ‘Frankenweenie’, and ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
