‘Fantastic Four 2’ Moves After ‘Star Wars 8’ Release Date Announced

Fearing too much competition from the newly announced ‘Star Wars: Episode 8’, 20th Century Fox has moved the release date of ‘Fantastic Four 2’.

Originally debuting on June 2, 2017, ‘Fantastic Four 2’ has been pushed back one week to June 9. ‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ is being released the week before their original release date and Fox knows better than anyone else what stiff competition Star Wars can be considering they released the last six movies in the franchise.

Also this moves ‘Fantastic Four 2’ away from competition with Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 4’ which is being released on June 2. This isn’t expected to change but there is a chance that Warner Bros. moves the release date of ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ which is being released on the same day as Star Wars.

‘The Fantastic Four 2’ comes to theaters June 9th, 2017 and stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Michael B. Jordan. The film is directed by Josh Trank.
