‘Rogue One’ Gets Composer Alexandre Desplat

Alexandre Desplat has signed on to compose Gareth Edwards’ stand-alone Star Wars movie ‘Rogue One’. The two have previously worked with one another on 2014’s ‘Godzilla’.

Desplat revealed the news on Radio Classique’s Culture Club. He won was nominated for two Oscars this years, winning one for composing the score to ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’. He has also been nominated for the scores to ‘The Imitation Game’, ‘Philomena’, ‘Argo’, ‘The King’s Speech’, ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’, ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, and ‘The Queen’. Other notable credits are the last two ‘Harry Potter’ films, ‘Zero Dark Thirty’, and ‘Unbroken’.

Nothing is known of the film’s plot but it was recently confirmed that Felicity Jones will being starring.

‘Rogue One’ comes to theaters December 16th, 2016 and stars Felicity Jones. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards.
