Tom Hardy revealed in an interview with Esquire Magazine that he is signed on for an additional three ‘Mad Max’ movies.
He revealed the news while discussing his role in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’. The interview will be featured in the May issue of Esquire, but thankfully, the internet is a wonderful place and the magazine has post the full story. The following excerpt from the interview is particularly worth noting.
As for the pressure, Hardy says it’s enormous. “I’ve never been more excited and out of my comfort zone.” He’s seen the film, and says it’s “fucking unbelievable”. He’s attached to a further three Mad Max films, though as he says, “Everything’s based on figures and how things are perceived. Inevitably it’s a business.”
Warner Bros. has not confirmed anything at this time. This week, the latest trailer for the film debuted and news broke that the first trailer for ‘Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ will be attached to ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ when it hits theaters this May.
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ comes to theaters on May 15, 2015 and stars Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The film is directed by George Miller.
