In addition to a record breaking domestic haul, ‘Furious 7’ pulled in a massive $240 million at the international box office. This brings the film’s weekend box office earning to $384 million world wide.
‘Furious 7’s’ international debut is good enough to become the third biggest opening weekend at the international box office behind ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’.
The movie set opening weekend records in 26 markets, 12 of them being Latin American countries. This stunning haul has already eclipsed the earning of the first four ‘Fast and Furious’ movies. With major markets such as China, Japan and Russia still on the way, ‘Furious 7’ has a real chance at becoming a member of the billion dollar club.
