‘Jem and the Holograms’ Photo and Synopsis Revealed

Universal has released the official synopsis and a photo of upcoming movie ‘Jem and the Holograms’. The movie is based off of the 1980s animated tv show of the same name.

As a small-town girl catapults from underground video sensation to global superstar, she and her three sisters begin a one-in-a-million journey of discovering that some talents are too special to keep hidden. In Universal Pictures’ ‘Jem and the Holograms’, four aspiring musicians will take the world by storm when they see that the key to creating your own destiny lies in finding your own voice.

In the photo, it shows Jem and her band on stage in front of a sold out crowd. Fans can also submit artwork and videos to the movies official website, along with their social media handle. Stay tuned for when the trailer debuts!

‘Jem and the Holograms’ comes to theaters October 23, 2015 and stars Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott, Hayley Kiyoko, Aurora Perrineau, Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald, Juliette Lewis, Nicholas Braun, and Isabella Kai Rise. The film is directed by Jon M. Chu.

Whiplash – Review

‘Whiplash’ is the unexpected thrill ride of the 2015 award season. With mind-blowing performances from J.K. Simmons and Miles Teller, captivating music, and beautiful editing, ‘Whiplash’ has officially become of my favorite film of all time.

In this inspirational and sinister tale, the acting really makes this film a classic and everything else just reinforces this notion. This movie received rave reviews around this time last year when is was released at Sundance but now it is time for the big leagues, award season! With 5 well-deserved Oscar nominations, this film is the best out of the Best Picture nominees that I have seen so far (haven’t seen ‘Birdman’ and ‘Selma’ yet’).

‘Whiplash’ raises the bar for films with this innovative and exhilarating tale about just wanting to be the best.
